Easter Watercolor Salt Paintings

Supplies Needed

Gather all the supplies needed to bring your craft ideas to life! From paints and markers to glue and scissors, our crafts section has everything to spark creativity and make every project truly special.

  • Aluminum Tray
  • Cardboard
  • Disposable Cup
  • Pencil(s)
  • Salt
  • Small Bowl
  • Water

Steps

  • Step 1

    Cover piece of cardboard with white paint. Dry 1–2 hours. Add second coat. Dry 1–2 hours.

  • Step 2

    Draw Easter egg with designs using pencil.

  • Step 3

    Trace pencil sketch with school glue.

  • Step 4

    While glue is wet, place cardboard in aluminum pan and sprinkle with salt.

  • Step 5

    Lightly shake excess salt back into pan. Set aside.

  • Step 6

    Lightly dab watercolors onto salt and glue, letting paint spread. Dry 1–2 hours.

  • Step 7

    Repeat steps 1–6 replacing school glue with color glue for egg-citing color blending effects!
