DIY Color Game

Color their world! Make a DIY game at home that helps in teaching colors. This easy paper plate craft uses Crayola supplies and items you already have on hand.

Supplies Needed

Gather all the supplies needed to bring your craft ideas to life! From paints and markers to glue and scissors, our crafts section has everything to spark creativity and make every project truly special.

  • Clothespin(s)
  • Paper Plate(s)
  • Pencil(s)
  • Ruler

Steps

  • Step 1

    Use ruler to trace and divide upside-down paper plate into 8 equal sections.

  • Step 2

    Fill in each section with a different marker color.

  • Step 3

    On clothespin, write name of a paper plate color in its corresponding color. Add small color swatch to end of clothespin.

  • Step 4

    Repeat step 3 for remaining 7 colors.

  • Step 5

    Mix up clothespins and have your child clip them to their corresponding colors. It’s a fun way to help teach color recognition!
