CIY Staff Tips

Easy Peeling: If the crayon wrappers are hard to remove, soak them in warm water for a few minutes; the paper will slide right off.

Low and Slow: When using a hair dryer, use the lowest airflow setting with high heat. High airflow can blow your shavings right off the cardstock before they have a chance to melt.

Avoid Cracking: Don't bend the cardstock once the wax has dried, as the wax can be brittle and may crack. Make sure it is fully inserted into your plastic sleeve for long-term durability.
