Snail Paper Plate Animal

Not your garden variety! Make snail art at home with an easy paper plate craft and paper mosaic project all in one. Use Crayola supplies and items you already have on hand.

Supplies Needed

Gather all the supplies needed to bring your craft ideas to life! From paints and markers to glue and scissors, our crafts section has everything to spark creativity and make every project truly special.

Steps

  • Step 1

    Flip paper plate upside-down and paint. Dry 1–2 hours. Add second coat. Dry 1–2 hours.

  • Step 2

    Cut out small pieces of cardstock.

  • Step 3

    Glue cardstock pieces to plate to create shell pattern.

  • Step 4

    Sketch and cut out construction paper head and tail-like shape.

  • Step 5

    Glue wiggle eyes to head.

  • Step 6

    Draw details on head with markers.

  • Step 7

    Glue head and tail to back of plate. Let all glue steps dry 1–2 hours.
