Tie Dye Flowers

This candy-colored Tie Dye Flowers Craft will brighten anyone’s day! Use Crayola Markers, a Crayola Paint Brush, coffee filters, and more.

Supplies Needed

Gather all the supplies needed to bring your craft ideas to life! From paints and markers to glue and scissors, our crafts section has everything to spark creativity and make every project truly special.

  • Chenille Stems
  • Coffee Filter(s)
  • Disposable Cup
  • Glass Jar
  • Paper Towels
  • Water

Steps

  • Step 1

    Place a coffee filter on top of a paper towel. Then, color the coffee filter with Crayola markers.

  • Step 2

    Dip a paint brush in water, then lightly dab the coffee filter with a paint brush to create a wicking tie-dye effect. Dry 1-2 hours.

  • Step 3

    Trim the paper towel to be the same size as the painted coffee filter.

  • Step 4

    Place the paper towel on top of the filter. Fold in half twice. Twist the bottom to make a flower shape.

  • Step 5

    Wrap the end of the flower with a chenille stem.

  • Step 6

    Repeat steps 1-4 to create additional coffee filter flowers.

  • Step 7

    Bunch flowers together and wrap chenille stem around flower stems to create a bouquet.

  • Step 8

    Place the bouquet in an upcycled jar or vase and display it as a centerpiece on your table.
