    • Have questions about your Washable Paint Pour Art Set? We have the answers!

      For Best Results:

      • Protect your clothing and work surface. Paint play can be messy!
      • Wet canvases will also need a protected, flat surface for drying.
      • Slow and steady when pouring your paint.
      • Let your canvas dry for at least 5 minutes before removing it from the tray.
      • Use the basic pour technique for a unique outcome each time.
      • Use the advanced pour techniques with strainer for amazing patterns.
      • Try it with neon, metallic or glitter paints too!

      Pro Tips:

      • Use the tray handles to tilt and turn the canvas in any direction.
      • When the picture is complete, use the handles & tray to carry wet canvas to your drying area.
      • Use 3 to 4 colors for the most interesting results; colors will mix and blend to create unexpected new shades.
      • Rinse the beaker before adding a new color.

Make sure you have these items before starting your project (not included in your set):

      • Water
      • Paper Cups
      • ½ Tablespoon
      • Paper Towels
      • Painters Tape
      • String

      Refills:

      • Need more canvases to keep the fun going? We recommend purchasing thin, 6x6 canvases (that aren't specifically intended for use with acrylic paint) at your local craft store or online at Amazon.

Cleanup! Always do the following before storing your set:

      • Rinse paint off of the bowl, adapters, tray, strainer, handles, breaker, and pipette.
      • Re-cap the paint bottles securely.
      • Do not pour any used paint back into the original container.

    • Our experts recommend the following tips for best results.

      • Secure the adjustable paper holders (purple straps) to the outer pins to keep your design sheets in place.
        • Using one of the Sprinkle Art Shaker Activity Packs? Secure your paper to the inner pins.
      • A little goes a long way! Squeeze glue only on the gray lines where you want color to go.
      • Once you apply glue, don’t wait too long to start shaking! You want the glue to capture as many sprinkles as possible.
      • After unused sprinkles are in the bottle, lift the bottle out diagonally for easy removal.
      • Allow your creation to completely dry before showing it off.
      • To help eliminate static electricity, spray Windex on a paper towel and wipe the inside and bottom of the unit. Be sure the unit is completely dry before adding paper. Repeat as needed.

      Looking for Refills?

      • Sprinkle Art Shaker activity packs are just the thing to keep the fun going. They include adhesive paper (no glue needed) and sprinkles. Check out your local retail stores.
      • Need more glue? Learn more about Crayola School Glue or Crayola Color Glue.
      • Ran out of design sheets? Use any paper that fits the unit such as magazine pages, printer paper and coloring pages!

    • Have questions about your Color Wonder Magic Light Brush? We have the answers!

      For Best Results:

      • Always protect your work surface!

      • If your set has a paint pot strip, it must be snapped into the base until it clicks for the Magic Light Brush to operate

      • Turn the power switch to the "on" position. – The unit is "on" when the switch is under the l. The O indicates "off".

      • If your set has a paint pot strip, check to ensure the brush tip is tightened. To activate the light brush, hold the brush tip over a single paint pot. Watch the bristles turn the color of the paint inside. Dip the bristles into the gel paints and start painting on the Color Wonder Paper (a thin layer of paint works best). The brush tip will stay illuminated for approximately 10 seconds while it goes from paint to paper.

      • If your set has paint pads, the handle will light up and cycle through all the colors. When that is done, press the bristles in the middle of the paint pad for a few seconds. The handle will temporarily light up the color of the paint. Brush the bristles against the paint pad several times. An invisible layer of paint will stick to the bristles. Brush onto Color Wonder Paper and watch the colors magically appear!

      • Between each color change, wipe the bristles with a dry paper towel.

      • When creative time is done, be sure to close the paint pot strip covers to prevent the paint from drying out.

      • If your set has paint pads, the cover should be placed on to protect the paint pads. Since the paint pads will not dry out, the cover does not need to be airtight and replacing the paint pads is not necessary. The paint pads are securely sealed in the unit during the manufacturing process and not removable, so we do not recommend attempting to remove them.

      Battery Savers:

      • To help preserve battery life, the Magic Light Brush will automatically turn off after 5 minutes if unused.
      • To reactivate, push power switch to "off" and then back "on". Turn the power switch off and then on.

    • Crayola Virtual Design Pro products were discontinued in 2018. The applications are no longer functioning on devices with updated operating systems. Since the app does not work on current devices, it is no longer available to download. If the app was downloaded prior to it being discontinued and being used on a device with an older operating system, please see the tips below.

If you have additional questions, we want to hear from you! Feel free to call or text us at 1-800-272-9652 weekdays between 9 AM and 4 PM Eastern Time. If you would prefer to send us an email, visit our contact us page.

      GENERAL TECHNICAL TIPS
      • Close any open apps running in the background. When you exit an app, it doesn’t close, it stays suspended. Too many open apps can bog down the system. (Press the home button twice quickly then swipe up to close the open apps. This closes suspended apps but does not delete them.)
      • Restart the device. This is like rebooting a computer. (Hold power key on top edge of device down until you get icon to slide and power off. Once off, wait a moment and the hold power key down again to power on.)
      • Uninstall and re-download the app to ensure it downloaded properly. (Touch and hold on the app icon until it begins to shake. Tap the “X” to delete the app.)

      CAMERA

      Q. I can’t scan the key code.  The camera is not working.

      A. If you cannot unlock the app or view anything through the camera on the unlock screen (the center of the screen is black with a gray square), the issue may be in the camera setting.  Try the following troubleshooting:

       1) Confirm there is nothing blocking the device’s camera and the camera is working properly otherwise.

       2) Check the privacy settings on your device to turn on the permissions for the app to use your camera.

      Q. I can’t line up the boxes to scan the template.

      A. Set the booklet on a lower surface, such as a chair. The device needs to be held flat to scan the keys properly.

      PRINTING

      Q. When I try to email more template designs so we can print them, I receive the following message:  Emailing is currently unavailable.

      A. This email error appears when the app cannot access the default email account on the device. Make sure an email account is set up on the device. The easiest way to check is to "tap" on the Mail app. If it shows options to set up an email account, an account is not currently set up.

The only way the app can send an email is by using the built in mail service in iOS, which needs to be set up by the user. The email account is not specific to the My Virtual Fashion Show app, it is used across the entire iPhone.

      Q. We are having difficulty printing our templates from our device.

      A. It sounds like the printer is not set up to print the templates correctly from the device. We recommend emailing the template to a computer.
