  • Use Crayola Watercolor Pencils wet or dry, then turn them into watercolor art! Kids and adults can create watercolor effects by laying down dry color and using a paintbrush (not included), wetting the coloring pencils, or using them directly on wet paper. No matter which method you use, the transformative colored pencils unleash artistic creativity. Pair this colored pencil set with coloring books or sketching pads ( each sold separately) for a great bundled gift idea that lets artists get started creating right away. This 24 count color pencil set is versatile for school projects, arts and crafts, as well as everyday creative coloring.

  • Watercolor Wash

Use Crayola® Watercolor Pencils to make the watercolor wash art technique, which will fill your drawing with broad areas of transparent color. Draw with the point or the side of the pencil tip, then brush clean water over the drawing, creating the watercolor wash effect.

    Spreading

Draw on damp paper for color that spreads and blends easily. Create vivid, broad areas of easily-blended colors with the side of the pencil tip.

    Detailing

Add fine details, textural effects and areas of opaque color, and further define shapes by drawing on top of the initial artwork. Dry or dampened pencils can be used on dry or wet watercolor work.

    Wet Pencils

Dip a pencil into water and draw to create dots or fluid strokes of vivid color. Produce color with a textural appearance by drawing with the side of the dipped pencil.

    • Crayola® does not produce a product called “watercolor markers.” Since most Crayola markers are water-based, they are frequently referred to as “watercolor markers” or “watercolor pens.” Learn more about Crayola Marker products here
